August 12th through the 13th of 1978, on the premises of the Imperial College in London, the Doctor Who Appreciation Society held it's second convention. The Name PanoptiCon is attached for the first time and will become the the recognized name of the premier Doctor Who event of all following years. Tom Baker, Jon Pertwee, Carol Ann Ford, Frazer Hines, Heather Hartnell, Robert Holmes and Ian Marter were among the celebrities in attendance. |
